Accessible Art Criticism is a Canard

There’s been a lot of sounding off in the art blogosphere in the last few weeks regarding accessible art writing and criticism. It has made me think a great deal about the issue but I’m starting to think it’s a canard. Though I would like to make it clear that art criticism and writing for a public museum (or gallery) catalogue is not the same thing the boundaries often blur so we often talk about them as one in the same or at least overlapping.
